How to sleep like a baby: Best Practices for Safe Sleep and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.

Mary and Kristine are published AWHONN authors with their February 2018 article in Nursing for Women’s Health titled “Barriers to and Interventions that Increase Nurses’ and Parents’ Compliance With Safe Sleep Recommendations for Preterm Infants”.

Mary is a Master’s prepared nurse actively practicing in L&D as well as simulation and holds certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring. Additionally, Mary is an Assistant Professor at Lawrence Memorial / Regis College School of Nursing in the Family Centered Nursing Course. She is currently enrolled in the Nursing PhD program at Endicott College.

Kristine DiCarlo is a Master’s prepared nurse in active practice as a Perinatal and Continuing Care Nursery Educator. She has over 16 years’ experience as a maternity nurse. Kristine is Board Certified in Nursing Professional Development as well as in Maternal Newborn Nursing.
